Happy Mother's Day. . .

It's baseball Season . . .

Tommy and Spencer are having fun playing baseball this spring - Spencer 's team is 4 -0 and he has been pitching, playing catcher, short stop and he got a grand slam the last bat on 4-9-11!!  Tommy's team is 2-2- he hit a in the park home run on 4-9-11.   FUN!

I am Back to Blogging . . .HooRay!!

Taylor's hockey team played in the Championship for NTXHL Bantam A - they won the first game 6-0!!  (but then they went on to loose the next two and so they were the runner ups)

They are a great group of kids:

The House is looking good - here's a couple photos - I still have a lot of "stuff" to get rid of.

I got my annual azalea photo of the boys and the dog after our ski trip - the have chapped lips and burned skin.   

Taylor's Wild Team is in the Championship this weekend & I am not blogging this week because . . .

Hockey is over for . . .

the season is over for Tommy and Spencer.  Tommy' s team lost at Space City on Saturday night.
They lost 3-1 (it was 1-1 most of the game)  - they got two quick goals at the end.   Tommy had a great break away with the puck (short handed) and he shot it high - it hit the top cross bar of the net and fell right behind the goalie - in the crease.  I was hoping the goalie would knock it in - but two players got it out.
Spencer's team went to Dallas and did really well - they won three games and lost one - they really just needed to tie the game they lost and they would have went on to the next round.  None of the teams went undefeated - one had 3 wins and an OTL - they played really well.

Taylor has 4 games  this weekend.

It is Rodeo time in Houston - here is an oldie but goodie!

Spencer is a "REAL" hockey player now. . .

On Monday the kids were off from school and had friends over - they played hockey outside {without their helmets and protective cages} - Spencer got hit in the mouth with a stick and broke off his tooth and busted his lip.  For some reason. I forgot to take a picture {I think I was freaking out because of the blood} - anyway - we went to the dentist and he bonded the tooth back together and his lip didn't need stitches ~  Spencer is whole again - I got this photo from the internet to help illustrate the situation:  {Yuk} At least Spencer's tooth was not knocked out like this guy's - I feel sorry for his mom!

Now, the boys see that it is a good idea to were their helmets even when they play for fun in the back yard.

Taylor's team the Thunderbirds lost their playoff game last night 3-0 (they should have won, but they all spent a lot of time in the penalty box and getting the refs mad) - the goalie left the game!  oh well. . . there is always next year.  The Wild starts playoffs March 5th - I hope they can keep their cool.

Spencer just loves Oreo (they all do) - he has playoff games this weekend - if they don't come out at the top after 4 games, their season is over - the emails are flying to try to get the boys to have the right atitude because they can win when they work together and stay out of trouble with the refs.  {grin}

Tommy has a basketball game on Saturday and then he has his hockey playoff game that afternoon.

This is Church league basketball,  the team gets to shoot free throws at half time and the team that gets the most, gets and extra point on the scoreboard.  Tommy got three at this game.  All the boys did great and they got the extra point and won the game!

This is what the 3 boys have going on this week.  One hockey team's season is over, let's see how the other 3 do.   {smile}

Sports update and A Yummy Souffle' . . .

I didn't take any pictures over the weekend but the boys hockey is down to the last couple of weeks of the season - Spencer's team played in Austin in a tournament - they tied two and lost two games.  The go to Dallas this weekend for the first round of playoffs.  Tommy had his last season game with the IceHawks and they only one one game and tied a couple.  They have a playoff game this weekend.  He played with his select team and scrimmaged the Wild B team and Hitmen B team - they lost both games, but the team played great and Tommy played hard.   I took Taylor to Lafayette to scrimmage the Ice GAtors - they tied the first game 3-3 and then lost in a shoot out and they won the 2nd game 5-1.  They start the playoffs the first weekend in March.  His Thunderbird team has a playoff game tonight.  They are in 3rd place.  Tommy and Spencer are playing basketball and having fun in the church league.  Spencer is starting track at his school.  

I made a Souffle' the other night and the boys loved it - and really it is probably healthier than cakes or brownies. . . . it has 7 eggs, a small amount of butter and sugar.   I used dark chocolate.. Yum  - I will do this again soon for them.  It is easier to make than I thought - it just sounds complicated.

Tommy was the MVP of his hockey game on Sunday - he gets to keep the Ice Hawks trophy until his next game - he really hustled and he got two assist!
