Hockey is over for . . .

the season is over for Tommy and Spencer.  Tommy' s team lost at Space City on Saturday night.
They lost 3-1 (it was 1-1 most of the game)  - they got two quick goals at the end.   Tommy had a great break away with the puck (short handed) and he shot it high - it hit the top cross bar of the net and fell right behind the goalie - in the crease.  I was hoping the goalie would knock it in - but two players got it out.
Spencer's team went to Dallas and did really well - they won three games and lost one - they really just needed to tie the game they lost and they would have went on to the next round.  None of the teams went undefeated - one had 3 wins and an OTL - they played really well.

Taylor has 4 games  this weekend.

Spencer is a "REAL" hockey player now. . .

On Monday the kids were off from school and had friends over - they played hockey outside {without their helmets and protective cages} - Spencer got hit in the mouth with a stick and broke off his tooth and busted his lip.  For some reason. I forgot to take a picture {I think I was freaking out because of the blood} - anyway - we went to the dentist and he bonded the tooth back together and his lip didn't need stitches ~  Spencer is whole again - I got this photo from the internet to help illustrate the situation:  {Yuk} At least Spencer's tooth was not knocked out like this guy's - I feel sorry for his mom!

Now, the boys see that it is a good idea to were their helmets even when they play for fun in the back yard.

The season is coming to an end. . . only 5 more games for Taylor & 4 more for Spencer - and then they have to get ready for the playoffs!

We have a Champion in the family ~

Spencer's team won their division in a hockey tournament in Chicago ~  Taylor's team went 2-2 (they were in the hardest division in Bantam}  it was a fun weekend.  January 14-17th, 2011.

I am not doing well at my resolution to keep up with my blog ~  I will get to it starting this week.

Taylor's Wild Hockey team is now 15-1 after winning 3 games this weekend.

Spencer's team has won 4 games now {so they are not in last place any  more in the NTXHL}

The last week of summer last year we were at the Beach at Port Aransas - this year we were in cold Northern California with jackets on, so I didn't take a goodbye summer photo like I did last year.  I need to remember to do this next year:

Sick Boy Play Day>>>

Spencer has a stomach bug and has not been to school yet - my sister-in-law had an appointment today and I had my nephew over.  He wanted Spencer to play so bad - but he just doesn't have the energy.  So, I set up a "Death Bed" for him to lay on and play XBox.   Tommy has a had a tummy ache off and on - but he went to school {they got out at 12:30 the first two days} -but last night it was hurting him and he cried when I needed to leave to go to a meet for Taylor's hockey team.  My kids never cried when I left when they were babies or toddlers, so that was strange.  Here is my sick boy playing xbox with his cousin:

Summer Vacation is here: YAY

The last day full day of school last week, Spencer was in his 4th grade play - it was made up of many little skits of fables - his was about a milkmaid that looses everything.  We had long, fun, exciting weekend.  More about that soon.  Spencer as the farmer:

Pioneer Day - update!

When I was posting the pictures of Pioneer Day - I messed up and some of pictures were not posted.  I will post the rest now.  Taylor graduated last night from 8th grade - pictures of that soon.  Spencer made a doll out of corn husks - see picture below.

They told the kids the could not bring weapons to school, so they made on out of a roller pin!

The Beach ~

We went to check on our beach condo on Sunday - hung on the beach and collected some shells - Oreo had fun running on the sand - he got very dirty:

This score has been around us a lot in Hockey lately;  first Spencer's playoff game was 2-1 in the last minute of the game [they were losing] -  they pulled the goalie and lost 1-3{empty netter}, then the big game after Spencer's game was the USA vs Canada- and in the last minute it was 2-1, but the US tied it and then lost in over time.  Tommy's playoff game on Saturday night was 2-1 {but they Won} and so they went to the Championship game last night and they lost - you guessed it; 2 -1.  They fought a valiant fight, but couldn't get that last, tying goal in.  It was a great game.

Tommy had a roller hockey game early that morning, they won and he scored one, he had his last basketball game- he got a free throw.  They lost all their games but they had fun {and they had a party and got trophies}

Spencer had his last basketball game too - he lost too - 

See this big girl next to him?   This team had all different ages and sizes & they had boys and girls.

Taylor had a roller hockey {RH} game - they were losing 4-0 and they came back and won the game, Taylor had an assist.  Spencer lost his game but he scored a goal.  Not bad for their first time to play RH!
