my 3 boys ♥ ♥ ♥

Taylor's team the Thunderbirds lost their playoff game last night 3-0 (they should have won, but they all spent a lot of time in the penalty box and getting the refs mad) - the goalie left the game!  oh well. . . there is always next year.  The Wild starts playoffs March 5th - I hope they can keep their cool.

Spencer just loves Oreo (they all do) - he has playoff games this weekend - if they don't come out at the top after 4 games, their season is over - the emails are flying to try to get the boys to have the right atitude because they can win when they work together and stay out of trouble with the refs.  {grin}

Tommy has a basketball game on Saturday and then he has his hockey playoff game that afternoon.
This is Church league basketball,  the team gets to shoot free throws at half time and the team that gets the most, gets and extra point on the scoreboard.  Tommy got three at this game.  All the boys did great and they got the extra point and won the game!

This is what the 3 boys have going on this week.  One hockey team's season is over, let's see how the other 3 do.   {smile}

Hockey & Soccer . . .

Taylor's hockey team is tied for first place - (8 - 1)   ~ they have won all their games except for the very first game!!  ~  they play the team they are tied with on Sunday (it is another Houston Wild Team) - update on that next week ~  Spencer's Team is on down ward slide - but I hope they can turn it around soon.  They have lost every game but their first game.  It seem in competitive youth hockey - one year you do well and then the next year the team can't win a game - but they are getting better because they are playing in a competitive league.   So good luck Spencer's team the rest of the season (three boys quit the team!)   Spencer is a goalie - but I wish they would let him skate out sometimes - he can skate fast and would be good for the defense - but the coach likes having two goalies ready to play.  Tommy's house team has not won a game yet either - they have tied and they have lost - but they are getting better each week.  Tommy made it on a select team that will play 12 games and it has kids that can skate better and faster than some of the beginners.   It is fun to watch them - they lost their first game 2-3.  He plays again on Sunday.  On to Soccer - Spencer's team went undefeated this season - 6-0-3  (3 ties) ~ but no loses.
The coach let them dump a cooler of water on his heads at the last game.  Tommy's team lost or tied all their games but the last one ~  the won 2 - 0.  It was great ~  he got to play goalie for a bit.  In 3rd grade is when they move up to the "big" field and it is a lot of running.  Soccer is over - now on to Church league Basketball after the holidays and the 2nd half of the Hockey season.

Check out my boys:

Our Weekend = 2 soccer games + 8 Hockey Games. . . .

That totaled 3 ties, 4 loses, and 3 wins.  Taylor's hockey team won all three games in Dallas over the weekend.  They are working hard and playing like a team.  They seem to be becoming good friends.
Tommy and Spencer both tied in Soccer (Spencer's team still hasn't lost - knock on wood!)  Tommy tied his hockey game on Saturday night.  Now the loses . . . Spencer's team lost all three games over the weekend, I think if they keep working, they will get some wins going.  Tommy played at the Toyota Center on Sunday and his team lost to another Willowbrook team.   Everyone had fun though and got a lot of healthy exercise and team experience.  I think that helps them get along with others and solve problems. They will use that when the are adults.

My Cjane Blog Post ....

Cjane  said she would come visit my blog so we are ready for her visit {I wish I would have had more time to clean up the place.   I did get the dog groomed}

I wanted to take a picture of the boys with the dog and the sign, but they are too busy playing video games to stop and pose for a picture.

Tommy, our youngest is at a day camp with a friend today.

Spencer is playing Rock Band with his friend.

Taylor is playing soccer on Xbox.   After I took this picture, he came running after me wanting to know what I was going to do with it.  "Nothing", I said.

Good-bye Cjane, thanks for coming by.

Guess what I did?

While I was posting the pictures of Pioneer Day that didn't load on my last post, I forgot I said I would drive carpool for another mom and the kids got left at school.  I apologized to all of them, but that said it was okay because they had fun playing football with a foam Travelocity gnome with one of the coaches....the librarian must not have been there.

L is for Lost, Love and Lucky ....

We got through the 9 hockey games, one basketball game,  and a practice this past weekend.  We LOVE watching the boys play on their teams.  Taylor's ISHL team LOST on Saturday and the Wild team lost two games on Saturday {the played their little hearts out}.   Tommy LOST his basketball game and his hockey game on Saturday but on Sunday Tommy's MTT team {Mite Tournament Team} played Austin to get ready for the Presidents day tournament and they won 5-0 and then 4-2.   Tommy is LUCKY to be on this team and will learn how to play at a faster pace  - it is great he gets to be apart of it and we hope he learns a lot.   Taylor had another game with the Wild and LOST to a Very Good San Antonio team 11-1.   We enjoyed the ringing of cow bells and the yelling & cheering of the moms on that team - we are so glad they had such a good time.    We cheered for our boys for icing when they had us 5 on 3 - oh well - we get to go see this team again next weekend.  Spencer had a hockey game at Willlowbrook and LOST 6-1  and then Taylor had an ISHL game and played the Herricanes {a girl team} and they won 6-1.  LUCKY  Taylor scored two goals.  {we said he played good against girls}  LOL  WE got to see the end of the (Lucky) Saints - Vikings game.   Here are the photos from the weekend ~ ( I didn't get any of  Spencer this time)

The kids must have got my camera - I don't recall taking a picture of the Zamboni ~

Tommy's Basketball game ~

Tommy's Mite Hockey ~

After the game they won 5-0, some of the kids started jump on the goalie - the coach told them to stop ~

A team "hockey" game between their games on the ice ~

Nana came over to our house between games with my parents to eat apple pie that my mom made - Oreo had fun playing fetch with her.

~ We Love You, Nana ~

~ Halloween 1999 - Spencer, Jackson and Kyle ~

Things I want to do...

I always have ideas and things I want to do but I never get to do them or it takes quite a long time and then I just forget about it. The boys have so much going on - homework, sports, tutors... and they want "their time" so I never get the pictures or art or notes from them that I think about it. {I have Oreo for pictures} LOL -- I think I will dress him up and take him to the pumpkin patch! Anyway, I wanted to take a picture of the boys {they were dressed for church today} with these signs so their grandmother, "Nana" could see that they miss her. Well, they all had two test each and we were doing last minute studying and they barely made it to school on time. I had the signs and the camera ready so, this is the picture I got without the boys. Maybe after school today - but Taylor has football practice and Spencer has soccer practice. They are out of school the next couple days for teacher in service, so we they get a break - Taylor will still have football practice - We found out the football game is at Strake Jesuit on Saturday - I think the team can be St Vincent's - it will be exciting.
