Hockey Updates

This is a photo from Taylor  last season, his summer team won again on Sunday and he scored a goal -so he scored on Saturday and on Sunday.  I think he likes his coach - he is a young guy without a child on the team -so he seems to treat all the kids the same and give them the same chances. He lets Taylor play some defense and some offense.  Summer Hockey is fun because the team has some house hockey kids and travel hockey kids - some AA kids and some A kids like Taylor.   Yesterday a house player scored,  two AA players scored and (Taylor) a A player scored.    In The fall, Taylor decided that he is going to play on the Houston Wild.  They will wear Red Helmets and dark green and red  (like the Minnesota Wild.)    The coach seems to be very nice and he doesn't have a child on the team.  After talking with friends of ours that are big into travel/tournament baseball - it is seems like it may be the best if you have your child on a team that does not have a dad as the coach.  We will see how it goes next fall.  Spencer's coach for next fall doesn't have child on the team.  So, in the fall we will get to try this "concept" of youth sports.  Speaking of Spencer, (he got a assist) his hockey team won 6-1 and they are still undefeated.    Yeah!  He is playing on a PeeWee team even though he is still Squirt age.
