This is what our street and driveway looked at day break ~ ( Tom made a wake when he drove off to work!)
I woke up at 2 am because the dog was whining, it was starting to thunder. I let the dog out ( and back in ) and went back to bed and then he woke me up again at 4 am and it was raining very hard and it never stopped. I couldn't go back to sleep - it was thundering, lightning, and we were under a tornado warning. The water was getting high around the house - but only a puddle formed by the front door, so I put towels down there. At about 6:30 am they cancelled school. The kids didn't get up until about 8:30 -you should have seen their happy faces when I told them school was cancelled. "It was priceless." I took nap and they have been playing, but I am going to make them do some school work. There is a Rockets game tonight, I know they will want to watch ( at least some of it) They are up 3 game to one vs Portland! Go Rockets!
