A peek at today-Tuesday

Tommy is home sick today-he has been throwing up off and on since Sunday-I am taking him to the doctor, Tom is worried because he bumped his head in the Toyota Center on Saturday and he thinks it is because of that.  I think he just has a bug-he knows his name and what day it is!  Anyway, I can't believe I haven't told about Saturday since this is"Mullen Madness" - Taylor had a game at the Toyota Center on Saturday ( a team from Lafayette came to play his team and then go eat and go to the Aeros game)...well during the game Spencer and Tommy were running around with the other kids, being wild like usual.  Spencer was stepping over the seats that fold up and down and he got his leg/foot stuck in the chair.  Some of the dads had to help get him out.  Then a little later Tommy is running a falls and hits his head on the cement step so he is bleeding from the back of his head.  We run to the ladies room-one mom is a nurse and she is cleaning it and checking him out- a paramedic comes in that was there for the game and he checks him and puts some medicine on it.  The ladies that work there are there incase they have to do a report.  It was crazy.  Then the rest of the day I had funny comments from the other parents about my kids.  They said "that was a tough game-for you".   So anyway-that was our weekend.  My photos of the game did not come out-so maybe the dad that takes great photos will email some to me.  At the Aeros game the teams got to stand on the ice for the national anthem.  Taylor's team won 6-0 and then 7-1 when the played again Sunday morning.   The games were scrimmages to give both teams some practice.   Lafayette is in the B division, so we hope they had fun. (we are a A team)  Both teams did great.  The coaches had a skills test at the end of the game on Saturday-Taylor did great on shooting the puck at targets.

Other news-the kids helped catch some dogs that were running around the neighborhood and we put them in our backyard until the owners came.  The dogs owners were so happy we did that, they brought us a rum cake-I have been eating it for two days...
